James Sterrett joined the Estuary Partnership in 2012. He delivers classroom education, on-river programs, applied learning field programs, service learning projects, and weekend volunteer tree plantings. James led the 2013 summer camp with the National Park Service at Ft. Clatsop. Each year, a few dozen students get this unique outdoor experience, honing their nature survival skills. He has been teaching experiential, place-based programs for the past 20 years. James previously worked at Earlham College for the Wilderness Program. Tonya McLean joined the Estuary Partnership in 2012. She delivers classroom education, on-river programs, applied learning field programs, service learning projects, and weekend volunteer tree plantings. As a freshwater biologist, Tonya helped expand our curricula in this area and shows students another career related to environmental education. She manages the database that helps us track volunteers, students, and teachers who participate in our programs, and allows us to stay in communication with them.
