
Nick joined the Estuary Partnership’s science team in Spring 2025 and will be assisting in the implementation of floodplain, wetland, and stream restoration efforts, with a primary focus on the East Fork Lewis River Reconnection Project. He brings nearly a decade of experience in habitat restoration contracting from Ash Creek Forest Management, where he advanced to leading the project team as Senior Project Manager. His expertise includes team and project management, managing large-scale, multi-phase restoration projects involving invasive species removal and native plant revegetation across diverse habitats. Nick holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and environmental studies from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in environmental science and management from Portland State University, with a focus in ecology and habitat restoration. Originally from San Francisco, he has now lived in Oregon for 14 years and has become deeply committed to ecological restoration and the natural world around him.
