Bobbak Talebi is the Southwest Region Director at the Washington State Department of Ecology. Bobbak represents the Director and the Agency, fostering positive relationships with Tribal, federal, state and local governments, industry representatives, and environmental organizations. He also coordinates significant, high-profile service delivery priorities, and maintains collaboration across regions and environmental programs. Bobbak has more than two decades of experience in land use and environmental planning, natural resources management and conservation, and environmental policy. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington with a double major in environmental studies and community, environment and planning; and a minor in urban design and planning. He also earned his master’s degree from the University of Washington in marine and environmental affairs.
