At the downstream end of St. Helens, a small, privately owned two-lane boat ramp offers access to the Columbia River. The site allows for quick loading and unloading, with longer-term parking available across the street. Like many ramps, it tends to be busy during fishing season. Boaters should use caution when entering or exiting, as the access route leads through a narrow, congested channel shared with motorized boat traffic. Vehicles and trailers can be parked in the large lot across the street from the ramp. Adjacent to the ramp is the City of St. Helens–owned Grey Cliffs Waterfront Park, which features a grassy area with picnic tables, scenic river views, and beach access. Just upstream, the St. Helens Marina provides additional amenities, including a fuel dock and a small store located at the end of the docks.
