  • Location notes
  • Strong Winds can develop in both summer and winter. Strong seasonal currents from both creeks and water being released from Bonneville dam can create challenging paddling conditions. Large eddies and occasional waves are present on the Oregon side of the river across from Beacon Rock State Park. During winter or high water periods, Hardy Slough and Hamilton Creek offer more protected waters to explore. Adjacent to Pierce National Wildlife Refuge. Common to see sea lions and many eagles during salmon seasons, and occasionally Roosevelt Elk herds traveling to the different islands in the refuge.

Boat launch and marina at Beacon Rock. Day use fee or Discover Pass in addition to launch fee

Launch fee is $7 to use boat ramps. Great location to launch for salmon and steelhead fishing.
