Chris joined the Estuary Partnership in 1998 and now serves as Deputy Director. Chris guides implementation of the technical and education programs. Technical programs include habitat restoration, data management, ecosystem and water quality monitoring, and contaminant reduction. Education programs include applied science for K-12, volunteer and community projects, and stormwater projects. Chris was instrumental in establishing the Lower Columbia River Water Trail and the Estuary Partnership Schoolyard Stormwater projects. He also represented the organization on the West Hayden Island Advisory Committee and serves on the Oregon Watershed Enhancement North Coast Review Team. Chris holds an M.S. in Water Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Political Science and a B.A. in English from the University of Oregon.
