Introduction
Many developments use a variety of water quality friendly stormwater management techniques in combination to achieve the greatest benefit. Different stormwater practices are mixed and matched to fit specific site conditions and goals. Most of these on site approaches are flexible and easily incorporated into different site elements – from landscaping to sidewalks, parking, and roads.

This treatment train diagram illustrates how a progressive sequence of stormwater management can be achieved on a single site.

A number of existing local developments also showcase how well different stormwater management approaches can work together. These integrated site examples include photos, descriptions of the site and practices, and quotes from site contacts.
