Anne Marie joined the Estuary Partnership in November 2019. She teaches classroom education, applied learning field programs, service-learning projects, on-river programs, and weekend volunteer tree plantings. She also assists in the development of stormwater retrofitting projects in the region. Anne Marie spent her first four years in Portland, Oregon leading community tree planting events with Friends of Trees, where she learned ecological restoration and volunteer management. Prior to this, she lived in Burlington, Vermont, teaching nature and farm-based education at Shelburne Farms and at the Vermont Community Garden Network. She is most passionate about creating access to the outdoors for underserved youth and people from marginalized communities. Anne Marie holds a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
