The Food Web class provides materials to support and enrich a unit on food webs. The lesson introduced the idea of trophic levels (producers, primary consumers, etc.). Students then can explore a variety of real life food chains, putting them in order and recording their connections to create a map of the complex food web in their ecosystem.

Artifacts representing organisms in a food chain help kids kinesthetically piece together the flow of energy up the trophic levels (producers, primary consumers, etc.). Then students explore a variety of real life food chains, putting them in order and recording their connections to create a map of the complex food web in their ecosystem. Native and Invasive Plant Kit

Category: Plants The Native and Invasive Plant Kit has all the supplies needed to conduct the Native and Invasive Plant Lesson. The kit conatins premade packets with laminated clues and pictures illustrating a wide variety of local native and invasive species. Students use the information to decide if these plants are ones we should be planting or pulling. Students also learn why native plants are so cirtical for the survival of native species of animals.
