Salmon Creek Volunteer Planting- Dig it, Plant it, Do it Again!

Plant trees to restore native habitat and improve water quality of Salmon Creek!

We are prioritizing the health of our volunteers and staff by implementing new protocols to ensure a safe and respectful experience for all. Check HERE for our COVID 19 Safety Guidelines.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Our volunteer corps has planted 12 acres along the creek. We will be replanting in some areas where plant survival was lower. Come help make the project 100% successful!

  • A registration form must be completed for each volunteer.
  • Parents: please fill out a form for each child/dependent. We allow students ages 16 or older to volunteer without an adult present.

Accessibility: Planting site is a flat area located about a 20-minute walk along a mostly flat, paved path from parking.

What to bring: Face covering or mask, hand sanitizer, snack, water bottle, planting gloves.

We will provide: sanitized planting gloves and shovels.

What to wear: Long sleeves, pants, rain gear and sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.

Prior to the event: You will receive an email from us with the exact location and your assigned group color.

At the event: Estuary Partnership staff will review COVID guidelines and safety, distribute tools and organize attendees into households or pods and assign a separate planting area for each. We will explain the goals of the project and demonstrate planting techniques.

We welcome ALL ages, races and ethnicities, religions, gender identities, countries of origin, sexual orientation, immigrants and refugees, abilities and disabilities, spoken and signed languages. Together, we are a stronger community working toward a common goal.

We are closely following CDC guidelines and if we need to cancel an event, we will notify all registered volunteers.
