Jennie Klein

Education Programs Manager

Jennie joined the Estuary Partnership in 2000. She first developed the volunteer program and then integrated the volunteer and education efforts into one comprehensive program. Jennie develops and manages the education and volunteer programs including classroom and field programs for K-12 students, schoolyard stormwater projects, professional development for teachers, and volunteer and community projects. Under her guidance, the Estuary Partnership now provides an average of six instruction hours to 4,000 K-12 students and plants thousands of native trees and shrubs along riparian corridors with volunteers each year. Prior to joining the Estuary Partnership, Jennie worked for EPA in Newport, Oregon and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife along the Columbia River as a Biological Field Technician. Jennie holds a B.S. in Life Science from University of Portland and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Oregon Graduate Institute.
