Comments:
Native, non-fruit bearing strawberry plants fill more than 800 plastic containers on top of the Ogden Resource Center. Precipitation not absorbed by the soil and plants drains to an infiltration planter box at the front of the building.

Comments:
The Columbia Slough Gazebo sports a grass roof over their outdoor classroom. The roof helps illustrate the importance of stormwater management to students and other visitors.

The ecoroof was designed and planted in part with volunteer labor over the course of a weekend. A second ecoroof above the entrance is planned.

Comments:
During the busy season, Pistols uses the ecoroof to store and grow additional nursery stock. A downspout directs water not absorbed by the ecoroof to a buried 1000 gallon cistern.
